The New & Next Queer Cinema: A Conversation with Queer Icons of Then and Now

+ More

As the Sundance Film Festival casts its gaze (gay-ze?) across its 40+ year history, and GLAAD also marks its 40-year anniversary advocating for LGBTQ+ representation and acceptance, this segment will bring together a historic conversation between queer icons Cheryl Dunye and Christine Vachon, who shaped the New Queer Cinema movement, moderated by Andria Wilson Mirza. That talk is followed by a panel featuring emerging storytellers, including Jamie Kiernan O’Brien (Gender Studies), building on this legacy.

Partner events are independently conceived and produced by sponsor and partner organizations. These events take place in official Festival locations and all organizations follow the Sundance Film Festival community agreement.
