Accessibility Commitment and Requests

IN-PERSON + ONLINE

Please use our Festival Accessibility Request Form for accessibility requests.

Sundance Institute is committed to improving overall experiences & belonging for our staff, audiences, and artists, in alignment with our core values. We consider inclusion, racial equity, and accessibility the drivers of institutional excellence, and it is our aim, therefore, that all our programs and platforms reflect and embrace these core values at every level. Our goal is to make all experiences (in-person and online) as accessible as possible for all participants.

It is our practice to:

  • Provide closed captioning for all screenings.

  • Provide open captioning and audio description wherever possible.

  • Commit to ADA Compliant  venues for Sundance-hosted events.

  • Offer ASL interpretation for Sundance-hosted events upon reasonable request.

  • Conduct accessibility assessments of all Institute- and Festival-hosted in-person and online venues in partnership with the disability community.

  • Provide easy access to request an accommodation and meet requests as best we can.

  • Provide easy access to offer feedback and recommendations to the Accessibility Team.

How to Reach Our Accessibility Team

Accessibility Requests
If you have an accessibility request, please use our Festival Accessibility Request Form. Every effort will be made to accommodate advance requests; requests made within 7 days of the event may not be guaranteed. General Comments & Suggestion
Our Festival accessibility is an ongoing effort with many improvements still in process, your feedback is critical to us for creating the most inclusive experiences possible. To provide us with feedback or comments throughout your experience at the Sundance Film Festival, you may either complete the Sundance Film Festival Accessibility Feedback Form or email accessibility@sundance.org directly.

Participate in a survey!
Sundance Institute participates in the Film Event Accessibility Scorecard to both increase data collection within the Film Event Industry and to provide an opportunity for individuals to participate in an anonymous survey of our efforts. This is a tool created and managed by FWD-Doc, a group of filmmakers with disabilities and active allies. By taking just 15 minutes to submit this survey Festival-goers can provide festivals with meaningful feedback. Visit the FWD-Doc Website for more information about this initiative.

Thank you to Easterseals Disability Services and Rev for supporting our accessibility and inclusion initiatives.
