Joseph Gordon-Levitt - Joseph Gordon-Levitt began his career as an actor at the tender age of six, and was not much older than that before starting to make little movies with the family video camera. After accumulating half a liberal-arts degree from Columbia University, he taught himself to edit and started to create a variety of short films, writings, songs, and such and release them on his website, www.hitRECord.org. Recent acting appearances include Mysterious Skin, Brick, The Lookout, Stop-Loss, and 500 Days of Summer, which is premiering at this year's Sundance Film Festival. Gordon-Levitt discovered the work of Elmore Leonard when director John Madden cast him in the soon-to-be-released adaptation of Leonard’s novel Killshot. Based on Leonard’s short story, Sparks is his first project as writer/director.
