+ More

Join us for an in-depth conversation on the power of creative sound design and music in cinematic storytelling with directors Beth de Araújo (Josephine) and Josef Kubota Wladyka (Ha-chan, Shake Your Booty!). Through film clips and behind-the-scenes insights, the filmmakers explore how sound choices shape emotion, perspective, and narrative — especially when working in Dolby Atmos.

Both films are recipients of the Dolby Creator Lab Grant and will premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival. The grant supports independent filmmakers with funding to access Dolby’s creative tools and finishing resources, helping them fully realize their artistic vision. Hosted by Glenn Kiser of Dolby Creator Lab, this discussion offers a rare look at how advanced sound and picture technologies can elevate independent storytelling.

Partner events are independently conceived and produced by sponsor and partner organizations. These events take place in official Festival locations and all organizations follow the Sundance Film Festival community agreement.

Capacity is limited. Arriving early to secure your spot is highly recommended. RSVP does not guarantee entry which will be first-come, first-served.
