How to Buy Tickets
IN-PERSON + ONLINE
In-person and online Single Film Tickets are now on sale! For all other Festival offerings, please review our ticketing page as only select products are still available.
How to Purchase Single Film Tickets
Here is how to purchase a Single Film Ticket (or multiple tickets to a single film) from the ticketing page. You can also make single-film ticket purchases later.
- Sign in to your Festival account or create a new one by clicking “Sign In/Register” in the main navigation on the Festival homepage.
- Once logged in, navigate to the ticketing page and browse the ticketing products.
- Select the in-person or online single-film ticket you want to purchase and click “Add to Cart.”
- Next, click the cart icon in the main navigation for a summary of your order. (Here, you have the one-time option to gift items in your cart. You can also add a promo code.)
- Review your order and click “Checkout” to proceed.
- Enter your credit card information in the payment pop-up. (You may choose to make a donation at this time.) Click “Submit Payment Information” to save.
- Next, you will be asked to accept the Festival Purchasing Terms and the Health Safety Measures statement.
- To finalize your purchase, click the “Buy” button and proceed to the final order summary page. (Click “Cancel” to cancel your order.)
- You should receive an order confirmation email within several minutes. Refresh your inbox for a faster load time.
- To view your purchase history, click on the user account icon in the main navigation and select “Purchases”; here you can view or print your receipt.

International Attendees
Feature films are available in the U.S. only. Due to rights restrictions, please review our ticketing page as most products cannot be gifted, transferred, or redeemed outside of the United States.
If you reside outside of the United States and are having issues completing your purchase for in-person passes, packages, or tickets, please contact sundancesupport@sundance.org.
Attending as a Group
If you’re planning to experience the Festival with a group (such as your partner or your family), we recommend that each member of your party has their tickets in their account. If you choose to have one member of your party hold onto the tickets for everyone, please be aware that voting for films will not be possible for individuals without a ticket in their account. Additionally, groups cannot be seated without all members of the party present if one member of the party is holding all tickets.
Ticketing FAQ
Certain ticketing products are subject to specific purchase limits, proof of age or location requirements, or may be non-transferable. For all gifts/transfers, please ensure that you have the recipient’s correct email address. Below are some frequently asked ticketing questions.
How can I tell if a film is sold out?
If you have Favorited a film that is now sold out, your My Festival Schedule dashboard will have a grayed-out button “SOLD OUT (INFO)” in place of where you would normally be able to click “ORDER TICKETS.”
Why can’t I add more packages to my cart?
Most package types (i.e., Festival Package and Award-Winners Package) and the Express Pass (Second Half) are limited to two per account and can be gifted or transferred. The Locals Package, Salt Lake City Pass, and Ignite Package are limited to one per account and cannot be gifted or transferred.
Why is it making me send a product as a gift?
There is a limit of two of any package type per account. You are allowed to purchase or use up to ten tickets to a specific screening, but you are only allowed to keep one ticket for yourself. You will be prompted to gift any extras at checkout.
Why isn’t my promo code working?
Promo codes have a variety of restrictions, so please read the fine print on the promo code you are trying to use. Promo codes are also case sensitive and subject to limited quantities. If you are seeing an error stating that the maximum number of uses has been met, then your promo code is no longer available.
What form of payment is accepted?
The Festival will be cashless (no physical money), and ticket, merchandise, and any other Festival product purchases will be transacted digitally.
