The Sundance Film Festival has premiered a range of incredible works by filmmakers who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, and the 2025 edition is no exception. 

This year, the lineup features projects by 52 filmmakers who identify as belonging to the LGBTQ+ community, from Sundance Film Festival veterans like Bill Condon and Ira Sachs to a host of newcomers, showcasing works in comedy, drama, horror, documentary, musical, and other genre-transcending styles. 

Explore a world of stories by LGBTQ+ filmmakers through the list of projects below — spanning everywhere from 1980s Argentina (Condon’s Kiss of the Spider Woman), present-day India (Rohan Parashuram Kanawade’s Sabar Bonda (Cactus Pears)), and dance clubs on Chicago’s South Side (Elegance Bratton’s Move Ya Body: The Birth of House).
