Press and Industry (P&I) Screenings
Journalists, sales agents, publicists, and buyers play essential roles at the Festival. The purpose of P&I screenings is to grant as much visibility as possible for Festival films while allowing for the hectic schedule of these core constituents. It is the goal of the Festival to allow screening room access to both our colleagues in the film industry and accredited journalists while ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of all patrons. Anyone who performs in an unprofessional way or violates the ground rules of access will risk a withdrawal of their accreditation.

As a service to our filmmakers, we monitor the attendance at Press and Industry screening rooms as well as at the video screening stations located in the Press Office. If a Festival Volunteer or staff member stops to ask your name or see your badge please do not be insulted; this person is only doing his or her job. Industry members should contact the SIO for lists of industry representatives and journalists who have seen films at these locations. Film publicists should contact the Press Office for the same.

Press Lines at Theatres (aka "Red Carpets")
Press lines for most screenings will open 90 minutes before screening start time. Press will not be permitted to wait inside venues if they arrive more than two hours before the screening. Accredited photojournalists and TV camera crews wanting to photograph or film the arrival of filmmakers and talent at theatres must gather at the designated space where they will be accompanied by a member of the press office to take their place on the line. Due to limited space, it is advised that photographers bring their own stands. Please note: press lines for films in the Premiere category are overseen by the films' publicists in conjunction with the Festival Press Office. It is ultimately the decision of that publicist as to the order and number of press outlets on the line. Any member of the press who behaves in a manner deemed unsuitable (inappropriate questions, arguing over camera positions, etc.) risks having his or her Press Credential revoked.

Radio Studios and ISDN
The local NPR station, KPCW, has studio time/ISDN line available for rental at $250 per hour (one hour minimum; engineering costs are included in this fee). Studio time, beginning daily at 10:00 a.m. (MST), is based on availability with 24-hour notice for scheduling required. To schedule, please contact Suzy Hanney at (435) 649-9004, ext. 307 or KPCW's new studios are located at 460 Swede Alley, directly behind the Egyptian Theatre. Parking is extremely limited.

Waitlist Tickets
The waitlist has become a Sundance tradition and each year hundreds of Festivalgoers see popular films without advance tickets. There's no need to go to the Main Box Office-just go directly to the theatre of the screening you wish to attend. Arrive two hours before the scheduled screening time to pick up your waitlist number (one per person). For each theatre's first screening of the day, waitlist numbers will be distributed one hour before the scheduled screening time. Once you have your number, you can go grab a coffee or a sandwich, but you must return no later than 30 minutes before the screening time. Waitlist ticket sales begin no sooner than 30 minutes prior to the screening. You'll then line up according to number, and tickets are sold in sequential order. Waitlist tickets are $15. Only cash is accepted, so be sure to stop by the ATM before coming to the theatres. If no space is available, ticketed waitlist patrons receive a full refund. A waitlist number does not guarantee tickets are available for purchase. All timetables for waitlist tickets are subject to change at the discretion of the theatre manager.
