CAST Vladislav Kuznetsov Dmitry Povolotsky - Dmitry Povolotsky was born in Moscow, Russia, in the former Soviet Union. His journey into the art world began at the age of 10, when he was selected to attend the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, where he studied classical ballet until graduating. He auditioned and trained at the Juilliard School in New York City, graduating with a BFA in modern dance and choreography. After making his first short film in 2003, he left the dance world to follow his new passion. He earned an MFA in film from Columbia University in May 2008. He will begin shooting his first feature-length film, Kapitalist, in Moscow in 2009.
