WHEN DOES REGISTRATION FOR PASSES AND TICKET PACKAGES START?

IN ORDER TO PURCHASE A FESTIVAL PASS, YOU MUST FIRST REGISTER ONLINE ANYTIME BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 12 AND OCTOBER 14, 2006 FOR A FEE OF $5.00. After the close of Registration, you will receive an e-mail on October 18, 2006 with your purchase date and time, as well as the website and phone number to use when purchasing your Festival Pass. Quantities are very limited and registration does not guarantee availability. Registration dates and times are randomly assigned by a computer.

WHEN I ARRIVE AT THE FESTIVAL, I DISCOVER THAT TICKETS TO THE FILM I WANT TO SEE ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. WHAT CAN I DO?

This is THE question. And you may feel like you've tried EVERYTHING. But just remember that the best-kept secret of navigating the Festival is that where there's a will, there's a way.

If you really want to see a particular film, your first stop should be any of the Main Box Offices to check ticket availability. While you're in line, ask your fellow Festivalgoers if they might want to trade and barter, mix and match -- if you have tickets, you can usually strike a deal.

A great second option is to head over to a theatre and join the Wait List Line. Seasoned Festivalgoers have seen many a “sold-out” film through the Wait List Line. It's not guaranteed, but many, many people in every screening at the Festival are there by way of tickets made available through the Wait List.

And finally, don't despair if you just can't find that ticket. There are film panels, concerts, deomonstrations, and more in addition to our regular program of films. Events run all day, every day at Festival venues like the Filmmaker Lodge, the Music Café, the Digital Center, and Sundance House. And there's always something happening at Festival Headquarters at the Park City Marriott.

WHAT'S THE "WAIT LIST?"

Wait-list Instructions
A) Arrive roughly 2 hours prior to the screening time
- Receive a wait-list number (one per person)
B) Return no later than 30 minutes prior
- Line up according to number

- Available tickets are sold directly to the line by number
C) Restrictions
- CASH ONLY
- Saving places in line is NOT permitted
- Failure to follow these guidelines could result in invalidating the wait-list number.
* Wait-list ticket sales begin no sooner than 30 minutes prior to the screening. If no space is available, ticketed wait-list patrons will receive a full refund.
** A wait-list number does not guarantee tickets will be available for purchase.
*** All timetables for wait-list tickets are subject to change at the discretion of the theatre manager.

WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO FIND OUT ABOUT SCHEDULE CHANGES, INCLUDING ANY ADDED SCREENINGS?

Check theatres, Festival Box Offices, and the Sundance Film Festival Daily Insider for the latest info on any changes to the schedule, including "TBAs" - a placeholder in the film schedule that allows Festival programmers to add screenings of popular films.

IS THERE AN ADVANTAGE TO BUYING TICKETS ON THE WEB VS. OVER THE TELEPHONE?

Ticket buyers all choose from the same pool of available tickets. If a ticket is no longer available from the Call Center, it is also unavailable on the Web. The advantages to using the Web to buy tickets are many. Filmgoers can go online to purchase tickets after their predetermined start time until 6:00 PM on January 12, while customers ordering tickets over the telephone must call during their designated time slot. The Web also offers filmgoers immediate visual confirmation of what is still available, and the $10 phone-handling fee does not apply to online purchases.
